INVERSION WORKSHOP – Turning Your World Upside Down

Monday, July 06, 12:30-2PM

Strength • Stability • Confidence

Join us for a Yoga Continuing Education inversion workshop designed to help you approach being upside down with clarity, safety, and confidence. Rooted in the Iyengar tradition, this empowering session offers a precise yet accessible approach to Hatha yoga, making inversions approachable for practitioners and teachers of all backgrounds.

Guided by Tylene Wood, seasoned yoga therapist with a lifelong background in dance and mindful movement, this workshop honours the therapeutic and healing potential of inversions when built on strong foundations, intelligent alignment, and self-trust.

Together, we will methodically prepare the body and mind, breaking down the essential actions, strength, and alignment required for core inversions. Through progressive exercises and skillful guidance, you’ll learn how to build stability and ease—transforming fear or hesitation into confidence and curiosity.

This workshop invites you to explore:
• The foundational principles behind safe and therapeutic inversions
• Key alignment actions for Headstand, Shoulderstand, Handstand, and Forearm Balance
• Strength-building and preparatory exercises to support inversion practice
• How to cultivate confidence, clarity, and body awareness while inverting
• Ways to gently overcome fear or resistance around being upside down

This is an introduction to building towards graceful, supported inversions—no intimidation, no pressure. The emphasis is on learning, exploration, and developing trust in your own abilities.

You’ll leave with:
• Practical exercises to continue your inversion practice at home
• A clearer understanding of foundational alignment and actions
• Increased confidence in approaching and holding inversions
• A more relaxed, empowered relationship with turning your world upside down

Open to yoga teachers and dedicated students alike, this workshop offers a supportive pathway into inversions—one thoughtful step at a time. 🙃
