WORKSHOP: ASHTANGA YOGA PRIMARY SERIES

Flowing Back to Yourself Breath • Strength • Clarity

Join us for a dynamic and immersive Ashtanga Yoga workshop designed to introduce and deepen your understanding of the traditional Ashtanga approach. Combining breath, movement, and focused awareness, this practice offers a powerful pathway toward physical strength, mental clarity, and inner steadiness.

Guided by Ayelete, an experienced Yoga teacher, this workshop is rooted in the belief that mindful movement can support both body and mind, bringing greater ease and balance into daily life. Inspired by a deep personal connection to the Ashtanga series after the transformative experience of motherhood, this practice honours the healing, grounding, and empowering nature of repetition, rhythm, and breath.

Through the flowing sequence of asanas linked with pranayama, the body gradually opens, strengthens, and energises. The repetitive nature of the series becomes a moving meditation—helping practitioners reconnect with themselves, cultivate discipline, and create space for clarity and calm. By the time you arrive in Savasana, you’ll feel lighter, clearer, and more deeply connected within.

Together, we will explore:

• The foundational structure and philosophy of the traditional Ashtanga Yoga series

• How breath (pranayama) and movement work together to create flow and focus

• Key alignment principles and techniques within the practice

 • Practice the opening and closing Astanga yoga mantra

• Ways to build strength, flexibility, stamina, and energetic awareness

• How repetition and rhythm can support mental clarity and emotional balance

• Approaching the practice with mindfulness, consistency, and self-awareness

Perfect for those who enjoy a strong, dynamic, and sweaty practice, as well as anyone wishing to experience the full energetic flow of the Ashtanga sequence in a supportive and accessible environment.

You’ll leave with:

• A deeper understanding of the Ashtanga Yoga approach, tradition, and technique

• Greater confidence in the execution and flow of the series

• Practical tools to support your personal practice on and off the mat

• Increased awareness of the connection between breath, movement, and mind

• A sense of clarity, grounding, and renewed energy

Open to anyone open and curious to learn more about yoga, this workshop offers an opportunity to explore Ashtanga Yoga as both a physical and meditative practice—one breath, one movement, one moment at a time. ✨
