Stefano Bendandi is a dedicated Iyengar Yoga teacher with more than 25 years of experience in the practice and study of yoga. His teaching combines technical precision with a warm, accessible approach that supports practitioners of all levels in developing confidence, awareness, and depth in their practice.
Join us for an insightful and practical workshop exploring arm balances through the lens of Iyengar Yoga—a method renowned for its precision, intelligent sequencing, and emphasis on cultivating awareness through alignment. More than simply balancing on the hands, arm balances become a means to develop steadiness, concentration, confidence, and a deeper understanding of how the body works as an integrated whole.
Together, we’ll create a focused and attentive space to unpack what arm balances really require, why they can be transformative for practitioners of all levels, and how the principles of Iyengar Yoga make these postures more accessible, sustainable, and rewarding. Rooted in the Iyengar tradition, this 1.5-hour session blends theory, lived experience, and practical guidance.

• What arm balances truly are—and how they rely on alignment, leverage, and awareness rather than strength alone
• The fundamental principles of the Iyengar Yoga method and how they support a safe, intelligent practice
• Why precision and stability are essential foundations for developing confidence in balancing postures
• The skillful use of props and progressive techniques to make arm balances more accessible
• Common obstacles in arm balance practice and practical ways to overcome them
• How arm balances cultivate focus, courage, and deeper body-mind integration
No previous arm balance experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
You’ll leave with greater clarity, embodied understanding, and practical tools to approach arm balances with confidence, precision, and ease—whether you are discovering them for the first time or refining an established practice.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Stefano Bendandi is a teacher with a lifelong passion for yoga and more than 25 years of experience in the practice of Iyengar Yoga. His training includes extensive study at some of the most respected Iyengar institutions in the world, including the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, Iyengar Yogashraya, and Yogabhyasa in Mumbai.
Over the years, Stefano has taught and trained students across different parts of the world, working with a wide variety of body types, temperaments, abilities, and levels of experience. Known for his depth of knowledge, clarity of instruction, and ability to meet each practitioner where they are, he brings a wealth of experience in guiding both complete beginners and advanced students toward a more refined and intelligent yoga practice.Stay connected!
